Happy Wednesday people!!
Perhaps one week I’ll get my Monday facts posted on Monday…but apparently this week I’m running late. Again.
While I was in TN little man here had a banner few days – he started going in the potty (what?!) and now says *ta-da* clear as a bell with hands up over his head and the biggest grin on his little face. Oh man, am I blessed!!
Moving on to the facts…
FACT: The Teach Them Diligently Nashville event was a little bit insane. I worked the Homeschool Launch Lounge for three days and it was pretty amazing.
FACT: Friday and Saturday I spoke with homeschool parents for 10 hours each day. Some just needed to know where something was in the vendor hall, but more than a few needed some one on one time.
FACT: I felt very inadequate to be counseling these parents! Yes I’ve been homeschooling for over 4 years and we have been through massive changes with our foster babes, and I know all about scheduling and curriculum and everything else….but it was humbling to be the one giving advice.
FACT: I was able to meet up with two companies who I’m doing reviews for which was great! I found The Critical Thinking Company and I’m seriously considering using one or two of their books for Sophie next year, and I connected with a rep from Memoria Press – look for that review next month!
FACT: While I was chatting with the Memoria Press rep and talking about Sophie and how she really is reluctant to read she showed me these workbooks and I could instantly see Sophie using them.
FACT: I cried on the rep’s shoulder – I was SO relieved to find something that I really think Sophie will like and enjoy.
FACT: I never cry. Ever. But I did. I can’t wait to show them to Sophie – they should arrive next week!
FACT: I flew home Sunday morning, took the train to NJ and hugged my sweet family….and then I took a very long nap!
I’ll be sharing some more stories from my time in Nashville while I gear up to head to Atlanta in just a few weeks! What’s going on with you this week?
