On Happily Ever After

My girls have been slightly obsessed with Disney princesses in the past year. Sophie loves Aurora {Sleeping Beauty} and Bella adores Snow White.  They have the dress ups, the tiaras and the shoes. I love watching them transform themselves into Princess Sophie and Princess Bella on an almost daily basis.

I have a friend who tries hard to make sure her daughters don’t believe in princesses…..because *happily ever after* doesn’t exist.

That made my heart hurt.

I haven’t had an easy road – I don’t think any of us have. But no matter how dark the road got, I always believed that eventually, I would reach the happily ever after.

My days are filled with diapers, never ending laundry, dogs that need to be walked, a cat that constantly misses the litter box and a house that always seems to be in need of cleaning.

My days start before dawn and end late. I juggle homeschool, work, crafting, blogging, choir and my husband’s schedule  Days are filled with paperwork, music, foster classes and car repairs. I worry about groceries, running out of wipes and making sure we have enough toilet paper.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

For me, this is my Happily Ever After.

As far as the *princess* thing…..

While my girls know all about Disney princesses…..

They know that God is our King. They know He made everything, including themwhich makes them Princesses…..true Daughters of a King.

That, my friends – guarantees a Happily Ever After.

I would love to hear your thoughts!
