Calling all Knitters and Crocheters!

Thanks to my friend Mary I am ready to embark on another crafty adventure!!

A few months ago I gathered with my MOPS group to sew dresses for Africa.  After I blogged about it, I was blown away by how many of you sewed a dress to send, or set up your own Dresses for Africa night to sew!

Thanks to a tweet this morning I found Small ThingsHer blog is adorable and full of beautiful life stories – so lovely to find!  She is partnering with her friend Betsy to send 400 knitted items to the earthquake/tsunami areas of Japan.

Want to help??  Here are the instructions:

A knitted or crocheted hat is a small gift, but it is a handmade gift, and one that can be filled with love and prayers. There are no size or pattern requirements. Both adult and children’s sized hats are welcome.
Hats can be mailed to:
G. Sheller
P.O. Box 9114
Fredericksburg, VA 22403
In addition to knitted and crocheted hats: scarves, mittens, and washcloths are welcome as well. The deadline is July 15. This will give me plenty of time to tag everything, and mail it to Betsy before she leaves for Japan in September. The hats will be personally distributed in Japan by Betsy and Alex.
I hope so much that many of you will join us!!!
I have been knitting away to stock up my Etsy shop, but I’m going to set aside the next 2 weeks and see how many hats I can make!
Will you join me?  What an amazing opportunity to bless someone  around the globe with a simple gift!

Do you knit or chrochet?  When did you learn?
